I decided to redesign sanitary pads not only because most of the designs are identical but also in order to end period shaming and stigma. With my design I want to encourage people to open up and talk without hesitation about menstruation. I called my brand #bloodynormal and the reason why I used a hashtag is in order to be more up to date and aim at a younger age group. During my research I saw sanitary pads from various brands like always and everyday and they both use florals cursive typography and pink/purple colour pallets. The colours Im using are RED period is red and I didn’t wanna use any other colour. I wanted it to be obvious that this is a period pad and I wasn’t aiming at hiding it by overdressing the pad with different colours.
